His current research topic includes Nanomedicine specializing in the use of inorganic-based and gold nanoparticles for applications in targeted drug delivery, non-viral gene delivery, photodynamic therapy (PDT), photothermal therapy (PTT), and in-vitro diagnostics, and multimodal diagnostic imaging. Current research interests are hybrid nanoparticles, Hydrogel nanoparticles, and Quantum dots for triggered drugs, bioimaging/biosensors, and gene delivery for the treatment of cancer, respiratory and neurological diseases. Along with this new fields like waste water treatment and tea extraction has been explored.
