Adoption of Five More Villages

The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sat Parkash Bansal, Central University of Himachal Pradesh has decided to work for the rural populace and its overall development, effectively understand and communicate the problems of society. University has already adopted five villages namely; Chhatri, Sihuvan, Bhaniyar, Jallari, Manjhgran under Unnnat Bharat Abhiyan for the benefit of villagers. The University has decided in March, 2022 to adopt five more villages namely, Barwara, Bongta, Gher, Shivnath, Snot from different Panchyats of block Dehra, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

The objectives of the UBA of CUHP are to generate awareness in the adopted villages, and panchayats about the various development programmes being undertaken by the Government of India and Govt of Himachal Pradesh: like skill development, upliftment of rural women and to make them self-sufficient, explore models of art, craft for entrepreneurship for self-relianceand demonstrate traditional knowledge systems.
