I, on behalf of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CE&I), welcome you all to the creative hub of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP).
We, at the Centre, nurture the entrepreneurial endeavours of students, faculty and all other stakeholders. The Centre aims to promote entrepreneurship amongst management students by creating a conducive ecosystem.
The Centre is helping students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and at the same time, provides training to students to convert their creative and innovative ideas into brilliant and feasible business plans so as to come up with their own start-ups.
The Centre is very much committed to assist its students in every stage of the entrepreneurial lifecycle; right from motivation, inspiration, and idea generation, to the initiation, incubation, investment and operationalization. The Centre promotes entrepreneurial activities that are based on local resources. This deep social consciousness of the Centre makes the start-ups emerging from the Centre more relevant in the contemporary world.
For the past ten years, we have inspired, educated, trained and empowered prospective entrepreneurs to be successful business ventures. Let me assure you that creativity, innovation and social consciousness would be the hallmark of the Centre.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is among the first Centres established in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. It is functional since the establishment of the University in 2010. The vision of the Centre is to train the young mind to take up entrepreneurial activities that too based on local resources. To broaden the frontiers of entrepreneurship, the Centre is continuously making arrangements to create awareness about entrepreneurship.
With a view to expose students about the entrepreneurial world, the Centre conducts entrepreneurship awareness camps from time to time. The Centre strives to shape and develop future entrepreneurs by way of sharing the knowledge and experiences of the leading entrepreneurs. Organizing lectures, interaction with experts, exhibitions and business plan competitions is a routine activity of the Centre.
To fulfil its social responsibility, the Centre organizes community outreach programmes. Among many such programmes, unique was the exhibition of rural entrepreneurial products during the second convocation of the University. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India.
Many of our alumni have initiated and transitioned from budding entrepreneurs to successful entrepreneurs in the area of technology, trading, tourism and agri-entrepreneurship.
