Minimum Eligibility for Admission in PG, PG Diploma, Certificate Programmes of Study

Programme of Study Minimum Eligibility Required
  • MSc (Physics)
  • MSc (Mathematics)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree in non-medical / Engineering / Technology stream from a recognised university or an equivalent examination.
  • MSc (Chemistry)
  • MSc Plant Science (Botany)
  • MSc (Zoology)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree with Chemistry for MSc (Chemistry) / with Botany for MSc (Botany) / with Zoology for MSc (Zoology) as one of the subjects from a recognized university or an equivalent examination.
  • MSc in Bioinformatics
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree in any science stream from a recognised university or an equivalent examination.
  • MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent Degree with at least 50% marks.
OR
Passed Bachelor Degree with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with at least 50% marks. (The students admitted with this eligibility will have to simultaneously undertake additional Bridge Course(s) as prescribed by the University during the first semester. The students admitted with PGDCA diploma need not to undertake additional Bridge Course(s)).

  • MSc (Environmental Science)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree in science stream from a recognised university or an equivalent examination.
  • M.Lib. I.Sc. (One Year)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in B. Lib. I. Sc. Degree of a recognised university or an equivalent examination in the specified discipline.
  • B. Lib. I.Sc. (One Year PG Programme)
Although this programme of study has nomenclature of Bachelor Programme, but this programme is a PG programme which can only be pursued after Bachelor/UG Degree).

A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors / UG degree of a recognised university or an equivalent examination in any discipline. The admissions are made through entrance test.

  • MA (Hindi)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree with Hindi from a recognised university or an equivalent examination.
  • MA (Sanskrit)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree with Sanskrit or Shastri examination from a recognised University or an equivalent examination. The candidates who have passed Shastri examination shall be given 10% weightage in their score limited to the prescribed maximum marks.
  • MA (Punjabi)
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelors/UG degree with Punjabi Subject from a recognised university.
  • MFA (Painting)
  • MFA (Sculpture)
A minimum of 50 % marks in BFA/BVA (4 YEAR) in relevant stream OR Equivalent Grade from are recognized University or an equivalent examination in relevant stream.
  • B.Voc. (Mass communication)
  • B.Voc. (Financial and Marketing Services)
The minimum eligibility condition for admission to B. Voc. Programme shall be 40% in 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.
  • Certificate in Gojari Language
  • Certificate in Gujjar History and Culture
  • Certificate Course in Kashmiri Language (Sharda Script)
  • Certificate in Vedic Mathematics
A minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in 10+2 examination of a recognized school board or an equivalent examination by authorized board of state/ national level.

Minimum qualification is 10th pass from a recognized school board or equivalent examination by authorized board of state or national level.
  • PG Diploma in Ambedkar Studies
  • PG Diploma in Tribal Studies
  • PG Diploma in Jammu & Kashmir Studies
  • PG Diploma in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Studies

A Bachelors/UG degree from a recognized university or an equivalent examination.

Minimum Eligibility for Admission in UG Programmes of Study

Programme of Study Minimum Eligibility Required
  • B.A Sanskrit (Honours)
  • Shastri (BA)
Candidate must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Sanskrit from List B1 + Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Sanskrit from List A1 + Any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1
OR
Combination III: Sanskrit from List A+ Any three subjects out of which at least two should be from List B1
OR
Combination IV: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2

Merit will be based on the best CUET score obtained from any of the above-mentioned combinations of subjects. Candidates who opted for Combination IV for admission will be considered only if seats remain vacant after considering all the candidates who opted for Combination I/II/III
  • B.Sc. Physics (Honours)
Candidate must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
Combination I: Physics + Chemistry + Biology / Biological Studies / Biotechnology
OR
Combination II: Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics

Merit will be based on the best CUET score obtained in any of the above-mentioned combination of subjects. The candidate must obtain a minimum of 30% marks in section I of CUET.
  • BFA (Sculpture)
  • BFA (Painting)
Candidate must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
Combination I: Any one Language from List A+ Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
OR
Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Any one subjects from either List B1 or List B2 + Section III of CUET (General Test)

Merit will be based on the best CUET score obtained from any of the above-mentioned combinations of subjects.
Note: As the weightage of the CUET Sections is not the same, appropriate proration will be done.
