The Central Universities Act 2009 provides that the University is to have Schools of Studies which shall consist of Departments and Centres of Studies. Each school to have a School Board and each Department to have a Board of Studies. Importantly, decisions with regard to the courses of studies, appointment of examiners, assignment of supervisor and standards of teaching and research have been placed by the Central Universities Act 2009 under the purview of the Board of Studies.
University is presently drafting its Vision document in consultation with eminent educationists which shall be finalised in the first meeting of the Academic Council and Executive Council of the University.
