Department of Visual Arts

Founded in 2019, Department of Visual Arts lives true to the fundamental meaning and purpose of design,we nurture aspiring professionals ,help them bring their ideas to life which help them develop wings to sore high with ambition and turn their dreams to reality. We strongly believe that studying at CUHP will not only make our students industry ready but also equip them with skills to face everyday challenges that they may face in the field of art. Students will have access to newest materials, techniques, skills,design trends and anything which is innovative. We also have strong network of artists and academicians who will help the students with placements and internships.

We offer BFA, MFA Programmes and Ph.D. that enriches the students to learn and explore more about technical and creative skills to design spaces with expertise.Building from foundation year, teaching within this program involves the acquisition of the basics of drawings, drawing from life or surrounding through sustained observation of various studies such as still-life study and nature study which includes deep observation and keen examination of objects through measurement ,contour ,massing, volume and rendering illumination through value .Students do life-study ,that includes study of human figures ,animal and birds which prominence on delineation of character ,proportion, expressions, setting of figure in different compositional way .Students learn to perceive drawing within the context of time as a manner of visual thinking with stress on individual attitudes and independent artistic production.

By understanding different study, techniques, mediums and materials, students develop their own artistic thought and feeling, learn to know themselves by means of their creative work and to search their own in context to their taste. Instruction is led so that a student is capable enough for critical thought and expression by means of various media’s such as chiefly painting, so that they could orientate themselves. They will gain the confidence and develop skills to pursue a practice of creating original piece of artwork that reflects their identity. Students excel in their individual skills, talent, and intellectual growth through a variety of artistic perspective.

In petite, Visual Arts accentuates artistic development through rigorous art practice and increased critical and conceptual knowledge. It teaches and prepares students to become artists and to follow other practices that are associated with the making of art in various field like Forensic artist, art faculty, gallery or museum curator, art therapist, set designer, production artist, creative director, Illustrator, art director, arts education organizations, art schoolteachers, entrepreneurs while others pursue business opportunities, such as starting art galleries and working in design firms.
