The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two years four semester based post-graduate program in which the students are taught core courses which include Management Concepts and Approaches, Managerial Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Quantitative Techniques, Managerial Economics, Computer Application in Management, Communication and Personal Effectiveness, Operations Management, Research Methodology, and Business Environment. During the second year, the students have the opportunity to specialize in two (one for major and one for minor) selected areas of their interest out of Finance, Human Recourse Management, and Marketing, in addition to core papers like Strategic Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship.
These specializations are offered through electives and project work spread over the two semesters. To give practical exposure to the working of the industry, postgraduate students are sent on industrial visits to different places every year. During the summer between the second and third semesters, students shall undergo six to eight weeks of On-the-job training and submit a report. The students also undertake a long-term research project in the fourth semester. The MBA students are given special training on soft skills, personality development, entrepreneurship which are the integral components of the MBA program. Experts from industry and academics are invited to interact with the students. The training and placement activities are undertaken by the training and placement committee under the supervision of the placement coordinator.
